My first post!

Hi there fellow Savvy Shoppers!

My name is Julie, and I’m a working mother of two. Let's face it... times are tough and becoming smart with money is essential to getting by. You don't have to be dirt poor to be a savvy shopper; everyone can gain by making the most of their pay check by finding deals where you can and by getting things for free with minimal effort.

Gone are the days of sewing circles where women would get together and share tips and advice with one another. With the advent of social media, communities can be formed online with your next door neighbor and someone in another continent.

My hopes in creating this blog is to create a "community" by bringing a few like-minded people together, share what I’ve found, and hear stories about what has worked for others.
