Okay, so I LOVE shopping. Who doesn't, really? My closest friend is one of the most stylish people I know and I recently experienced a bout of "shoe envy" when she was sporting a new pair of soft grey Jessica Simpson peep toe heels. So I came across this site earlier this month and I think it's pretty cool...

Swagbucks.com is an online portal dedicated to helping you earn digital dollars called "Swag Bucks," which can be redeemed for exclusive Swagbucks.com merchandise. There's lots of fun stuff to do on the site to earn Swagbucks like polls, games, and surveys. You can also get points just from searching the web. There hasn't been a day that I haven't earned at least 20 without even trying.
 
I already have 1845 Swag Bucks (SB) after only a few weeks. When you register a new account they will give you 30 free Swag Bucks right away!  

There is a great selection of Swag Prizes to choose from.  I think I'll save my Swag Bucks up for a few Starbucks gift cards (1300SB) as that is such a treat for me!

I also give companies my e-mail address so they can send special offers I otherwise would not have known about. Please Mum, Children’s Place, RW&CO and Old Navy for example send exclusive coupons and invitations to special shopping events.

Loyalty program: Pampers Gifts to Grow

If you're a mom with kids in diapers, this post is for you!  Pampers has a program called Gifts to Grow.  You enter codes that you can then redeem for various prizes!

My first post!

Hi there fellow Savvy Shoppers!

My name is Julie, and I’m a working mother of two. Let's face it... times are tough and becoming smart with money is essential to getting by. You don't have to be dirt poor to be a savvy shopper; everyone can gain by making the most of their pay check by finding deals where you can and by getting things for free with minimal effort.

Gone are the days of sewing circles where women would get together and share tips and advice with one another. With the advent of social media, communities can be formed online with your next door neighbor and someone in another continent.

My hopes in creating this blog is to create a "community" by bringing a few like-minded people together, share what I’ve found, and hear stories about what has worked for others.
